Pair Extraordinaire is an outstanding musical duo offering “extraordinary” entertainment for all occasions.  Their repertoire includes music from the Great American Songbook, Soft and Easy Jazz Standards, and Sophisticated Light Rock.  Two well-known Springfield/Hartford area musicians have joined forces to create one of the finest duos on the scene.  Gene Bartley is featured on vocals, keyboard, and brass.  Ed Mari is a master performer on the saxophone, clarinet, and flute.  Both of these musicians have appeared with national acts such as The Four Tops, Temptations, Englebert Humperdink, Ice Capades, and Ringling Brothers Circus to name just a few.  Ed and Gene are currently members of several area Big Bands and perform extensively throughout New England.

Although there are only two musicians in the group, the sounds they produce are astounding.  With the aid of modern technology, Ed and Gene are able to produce sounds that range from the intimacy of a solo piano all the way to the excitement of the Big Bands.  In fact, all of the sounds produced on their CD are reproduced in their live performances. 

Pair Extraordinaire is available for all kinds of functions (day or evening) and especially enjoys appearing in sophisticated settings.
